Psssst…E.A. Provost is letting you read her Diary! In this innovative two-sided book, she embraces the gentle moments and the horrific revelations that fill her life. The reader will immediately recognize their own lives and feelings on the pages, too. As an unexpected bonus, each poem is accompanied by a perfect piece of her original artwork that will leave you wondering which came first…The poem or the image? I highly recommend Diary.

E.A. Provost’s “Diary” is one of the delightful finds of the new year. As an Artist and as a Poet, the author shares insight, wit, life experience and humor in a way that speaks to heart and soul. Highly recommended!

This book manages to beautifully capture that version of teenage angst that follows us into adulthood and motherhood, when we “weird” teenagers become weird mothers (of weird kids). At times light, at others devastating, this book of poems is raw, honest, angry, sad, joyful, loving, and playful. I won’t reveal the “trick” here, but the layout and formatting is very cool, and contributes to our sense that Provost is wrestling with, and writing as, two contradictory selves. With gorgeous paintings by the author interspersed throughout.
